Meet Christine Scheeler
Travel advisor, itinerary designer, and the person who reads the fine print so you do not have to.
How this started.
Travel has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember, long before I opened an agency, I'd already visited all 50 states, using every trip as a chance to teach my kids history, geography, and culture firsthand. Friends and family called me before every trip they took, not because I worked in the industry, but because I was already the person with the spreadsheet, the backup plan, and the answer to "wait, how do we get from there to there?"
In 2019, a friend invited me to help with the travel side of her business. Turns out what I'd been doing for free my whole life could actually be a job. In 2020, I founded Adventure the World Travels, and I've been designing journeys for clients ever since.
Before travel, I spent years as a corporate trainer, helping employees move from DOS to Windows and teaching Microsoft Office systems to people who felt overwhelmed by change. That background shows up in how I work with clients today. I anticipate where people get confused. I break complicated information into steps that actually make sense. I tell you what you need to know, when you need to know it, not all at once.
I provide personalized, high-touch travel planning for travelers who want expert guidance, a trip built around them, and someone experienced in managing all the moving parts of a vacation. I specialize in destination-focused ocean, river, expedition and small-ship cruising, Alaska cruise and land journeys, Mediterranean and European cruise-plus-land travel, and custom Europe itineraries. My clients often come to me because they are busy, overwhelmed by the options, or want an experienced advisor who will listen carefully and help them make the right choices rather than simply sell them a trip. I also help clients uncover experiences, places, and possibilities they may not even know to ask about, because sometimes the best parts of a trip are the things you didn't know you were missing.
What I actually do
Itineraries built around you.
I specialize in destination-focused ocean, river, and expedition cruising, Alaska, and European travel, including thoughtfully planned pre- and post-cruise stays.
I do not start with a ship or a supplier promotion. I start with you: why you are going, what you want to experience, what might make the trip hard, and what would make the investment feel worth it.
That's the same reason two families can book the exact same destination and end up with completely different trips, because they're different people, not because one itinerary is objectively better.
A confirmed reservation only tells you that something was booked. It does not tell you whether it was the right choice, whether the timing works, or whether the pieces actually fit together. That is the part I handle.

My definition
What luxury means to me.
Luxury is not always the biggest suite or the highest price tag. Sometimes it is a private guide who helps you actually experience a place instead of just seeing it. Sometimes it is a hotel in the center of the city instead of twenty minutes outside it, saving you two hours of transit you did not plan for. Sometimes it is simply having someone catch a problem before you ever knew it existed.
Spending more does not automatically make a trip better. Choosing by price alone often creates compromises you will not notice until you are standing in the middle of them.
Luxury means something different to everyone. For me, it is listening closely to what my clients want and need, and helping make that happen.

The things you don't know to ask about
You can absolutely book a trip on your own. The difference is knowing what you may not be thinking about.
Is that tour better in the morning or late afternoon? Are you trying to fit too much into one day? Is the hotel technically in the right city but in the wrong location for what you want to do? Does that cruise itinerary look good on paper but leave you almost no meaningful time in the places you actually care about?
Those are the details I spend my time thinking about.
Travel planning is my full-time profession. I travel, train, research, and continually learn so that I can see the pieces of a trip that a traveler may not know to look for. My job is to help you build a better trip than you might have known to ask for in the first place.
And ideally, once you are traveling, it all feels easy.
The work should stay invisible to you, that's the whole point. You're there to enjoy the trip.
In fact, if you come home thinking, "That was easy. I probably could have done that myself," I may have done my job exactly right.

A certificate does not automatically make someone an expert. What I have learned from all of this training is range and professional seriousness, not a claim that I do everything equally well. My real expertise comes from firsthand experience, repeated planning, and understanding how the small decisions affect the traveler standing in the airport at 6am.

I'm based in League City, in the greater Houston and Galveston area, serving clients nationwide. As the mother of 20-year-old twins, one attending college in Texas and one with special needs, I've learned to plan for the details that aren't always obvious, the things that don't show up on a packing list. I hold the IBCCES Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP) credential, and it shapes how I plan for every family I work with, not just families who share this experience.
